TILE AND GROUT RESTORATION

At GP Flooring Solutions, we use Micron technology for our tile and grout restoration service, making your ceramic tile floor look new again. Micron technology is a Micron-thin, rapid dry, silica based floor coating that can be burnished. This coating is ideally suited for demanding commercial environments including schools, restaurants, health care facilities and retail stores. It is excellent for commercial restrooms, lobbies, and dining areas. Micron coating technology has an in-use time of 15 minutes after installation, a very low release of VOC’s (volatile organic compounds — less than 50 g/l), and has excellent abrasion and stain resistance. Your floors look better, and they are safer and easier to clean.

How It Works
The tile and grout are scrubbed clean using commercial grade cleaning agents to remove any ground-in dirt. Once the floor is rinsed clean and dried, a color sealing agent is applied to all the grout lines making them uniform in color and preventing any fluids from soaking into the grout. We then buff the floor clean and ensure that any remaining loose particles are removed (“tacking”). We then apply two coats of Micron coating. The floor is ready for use 15 minutes after the application of the second coat.
