HISTORY

Founded by George Hage, GP Flooring Solutions, originally G.P. Land and Carpet Corp, was George’s second business in the flooring industry. George had learned how to install carpet through his father’s carpet installation business, and in the early 70’s he started his own carpet sales company. After nearly four decades of running his own business, George was looking for a change of pace and, in 2014, he decided to sell G.P. Land and Carpet. Abby Reinhard had been looking for a small business to purchase and grow, and G.P. Land and Carpet was an excellent choice. Abby trusted George, who clearly had his heart set on ensuring a smooth transition for his team of nine people and fostering the continued legacy of the business. The purchase of G.P. Land and Carpet became official on January 1 of 2015, and the company rebranded in 2017 as GP Flooring Solutions. In 2017 the company also added a flooring maintenance division in order to offer cleaning and restoration of floors in addition to flooring materials and installation.

The company has grown significantly over the past several years. A focus on company culture and process improvement have been critical to that success, with the company’s core values behind everything we do. In December of 2018, Abby closed on the sale of a new building for the company’s headquarters, in order to move the operations from 5905 Lake Road South in Brockport, NY to a larger facility at 32 Marway Circle in Gates, NY.
